John Eslick
National Energy Technology Laboratory
John Eslick is the lead of Advanced Solvent Systems Optimization which develops the models and computational tools necessary for fully rate-based dynamic simulation of advanced solvent systems. John is also the lead of the Modeling and Optimization of Existing Plants subtask which applies and enhances the power plant models, as well as develops additional models for improving the efficiency, estimating emissions, and monitoring the health of existing coal-fired power plants under off-design and load-following conditions. This task also focuses on developing capabilities for optimal economic control while minimizing the adverse effects of transient operations on the operation and maintenance (O&M) cost without violating the emission limits.
